Cartagena’s old walled city center is splendid. One of three areas or “barrios” is called Santa Catalina, near Santa Catalina cathedral. Our main property, “Casa Cordoba Estrella”, is located in this exclusive area.

Casa Cordoba Estrella has been restored under the guidance of the leading Colombian architect and restoration expert Alberto Samudio. He has been in charge of renovating the Pedro de Heredia Theater and the Gold Museum, among other national landmarks.

The renovation is dedicated to clients who expect style and quality in a historical setting.

Casa Cordoba Estrella has monumental spaces with spectacular colonial-style high ceilings with carved wooden finish, a pool on the roof terrace, magnificent arches and columns, classic colonial balconies yet contemporary appliances. The house can be rented entirely as a guesthouse. Alternatively, rooms can be reserved in this luxurious fully serviced resort.

Four fully-equipped, elegant apartments are available in another traditional colonial house nearby, on Calle Roman.

In addition, Casa Cordoba owns a beach resort with three exclusive Carribean houses on the Rosario Islands archipelago, in Barú, about forty minutes away from the city of Cartagena with our private speed boat.

The crystal blue waters and white sandy beaches of Barú Island are a perfect setting for sailing, snorkelling, water sports or relaxing.
